Description
Hydrocortisone 1% Cream – 15g
Hydrocortisone 1% Cream is a mild corticosteroid cream used to relieve itching, redness, and inflammation of the skin. It is suitable for conditions such as mild to moderate eczema, contact dermatitis, insect bites, and allergic skin reactions including nickel and plant allergies.
⸻
How It Works
Hydrocortisone belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids. It works by calming the skin’s inflammatory response — reducing the redness, swelling, and itching that occur when the skin reacts to irritants or allergens. It does this by reducing the release of chemicals in the skin that trigger inflammation.
⸻
Directions for Use
Adults and children aged 10 years and over: apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area once or twice daily. Do not use for more than 7 days without medical advice. Avoid applying to broken, infected, or weeping skin. Do not use on the face unless directed by a doctor. Wash your hands before and after applying the cream, unless you are treating the hands themselves. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
