    Description

    Fluconazole Thrush Relief 150mg – 1 Capsule

Fluconazole Thrush Relief 150mg is a single-capsule treatment used to treat vaginal thrush (candidiasis) in women aged 16 to 60 years. It contains fluconazole, an antifungal medicine that targets the cause of thrush quickly and effectively.

    How It Works

Fluconazole belongs to a group of medicines called azole antifungals. It works by disrupting the cell membrane of the Candida fungus responsible for thrush, preventing it from growing and spreading, which allows the infection to clear up.

    Directions for Use

Adults and women aged 16 to 60: take one 150mg capsule by mouth as a single dose. The capsule can be swallowed with or without food and with a glass of water. Symptoms usually begin to improve within 24 hours, although full relief may take a few days. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Interactions

Fluconazole can interact with a number of medicines, including warfarin and other blood thinners, certain statins (e.g. simvastatin), some antihistamines (e.g. terfenadine, astemizole), rifampicin, midazolam, phenytoin, and some medicines used to treat diabetes. These interactions can be serious. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Fluconazole should not be used during pregnancy, as studies have suggested it may harm the unborn baby, particularly when used in higher or repeated doses. It is also not recommended during breastfeeding, as fluconazole passes into breast milk. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

There is no direct interaction between fluconazole and alcohol; however, drinking alcohol may worsen some side effects such as nausea, dizziness, or headache. It is generally advisable to drink only in moderation whilst being treated for any infection.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Fluconazole may occasionally cause dizziness or seizures in some people. If you feel dizzy or unwell after taking this capsule, do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you feel better.
