Description
Evana Heavy Period Relief 500mg Tablets – 18 Tablets
Evana Heavy Period Relief 500mg Tablets contain tranexamic acid, a medicine used to treat heavy menstrual bleeding (also known as menorrhagia). They help reduce the amount of blood lost during your period, making it more manageable.
⸻
How It Works
Tranexamic acid works by helping your blood to clot more effectively. It blocks the breakdown of clots that form in the womb lining, which reduces the amount of bleeding during your period. It does not affect your hormone levels or act as a contraceptive.
⸻
Directions for Use
For women aged 18 years and over: take 2 tablets (1000mg) three times a day during your period. Do not take for more than 4 days during any one period. Swallow the tablets whole with water. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
⸻

• Anyone using combined hormonal contraceptives (the combined pill or patch) — seek medical advice before use
⸻
Interactions
Tranexamic acid may interact with combined hormonal contraceptives (such as the combined pill), as this can increase the risk of blood clots. It may also interact with medicines that affect blood clotting or clot-dissolving treatments. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.
⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Tranexamic acid is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
