Doublebase Once Emollient is a long-lasting moisturising gel used to relieve dry, itchy, and flaking skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and ichthyosis. It is designed to be applied just once a day, helping to keep skin hydrated and comfortable throughout the day.

How It Works

Doublebase Once Emollient contains isopropyl myristate and liquid paraffin, which work together to form a protective, moisturising layer on the surface of the skin. This barrier helps to lock in the skin’s natural moisture, prevent water loss, and soothe dryness and irritation. The gel formula spreads easily and is absorbed quickly, leaving skin feeling soft and hydrated.

Directions for Use

Apply a generous amount of Doublebase Once Emollient to the affected areas of skin once a day, or as directed by your doctor. Smooth the gel gently into the skin in the direction of hair growth. It can be used on the body and limbs and is suitable for adults and children. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Possible Side Effects

• Skin irritation or redness at the site of application
• A stinging or burning sensation on sensitive skin
• Allergic skin reaction (rash or itching)
• Folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles) — apply in the direction of hair growth to reduce this risk
• The gel can make surfaces slippery, including the bath or shower floor — take care when bathing

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

• People who are allergic to isopropyl myristate, liquid paraffin, or any other ingredient in this product
• Anyone who has previously had an allergic reaction to similar emollient products

Interactions

Doublebase Once Emollient is applied to the skin and is not expected to interact significantly with other medicines taken by mouth. However, if you are using other topical preparations (such as steroid creams), apply them separately and allow time between applications. Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Doublebase Once Emollient does not cause drowsiness and is not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, be aware that the gel may make surfaces such as bath or shower floors slippery — take appropriate care to avoid falls.

Storage

Store Doublebase Once Emollient below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct heat and sunlight. Do not freeze. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
