Dettol Antiseptic Disinfectant Liquid – 250ml
Dettol Antiseptic Disinfectant Liquid is a trusted, multi-purpose antiseptic solution used to help prevent infection in minor cuts, grazes, and wounds. It can also be used to help manage spots, pimples, and dandruff, making it a versatile addition to your first aid and skincare routine.
⸻
How It Works
The active ingredient, chloroxylenol, is an antimicrobial agent that works by disrupting the outer membrane of bacteria and other microorganisms, effectively killing them or preventing them from multiplying. When diluted with water, it forms a milky solution that can be safely applied to skin to reduce the risk of infection.
⸻
Directions for Use
Dettol Antiseptic Liquid should always be diluted before use — never apply it neat to the skin. Typical dilution ratios vary by use:
- Cuts and grazes: Dilute 1 part Dettol in 20 parts water (approximately one capful per 400ml water). Apply to the affected area using a clean cloth or cotton wool.
- Spots and pimples: Dilute 1 part Dettol in 80 parts water. Dab gently onto the affected area.
- Dandruff: Dilute 1 part Dettol in 80 parts water and work into the scalp as a final rinse.
It is suitable for adults and children over 2 years of age when properly diluted. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
