Description
Calpol Six Plus Fastmelts 250mg Tablets – 12tablet 2 X – 6tablets
Calpol Six Plus Fastmelts are dissolvable paracetamol tablets designed for children aged 6 and over. They are used to relieve mild to moderate pain — such as headaches, toothache, and sore throats — and to reduce fever (high temperature).
⸻
How It Works
The active ingredient, paracetamol, works by blocking the production of chemicals in the body called prostaglandins, which are responsible for sending pain signals and raising body temperature. By reducing prostaglandin levels, paracetamol helps to ease pain and bring a high temperature down to a more normal level.
⸻
Directions for Use
These tablets are for children aged 6 years and over. Place the tablet on the tongue and allow it to dissolve — no water is needed. The recommended doses are:
• Children aged 6–9 years: 1 tablet (250 mg) every 4–6 hours as needed
• Children aged 10–12 years: 1–2 tablets (250–500 mg) every 4–6 hours as needed
• Children aged 12–15 years: 1–2 tablets (250–500 mg) every 4–6 hours as needed
Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24-hour period. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not give to children under 6 years. If your child’s symptoms do not improve within 3 days, contact your doctor. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
