Acnecide 5% Wash Gel is a medicated face wash containing benzoyl peroxide, used to treat mild to moderate acne. It helps to reduce spots, blackheads, and whiteheads on the face, back, and chest.

How It Works
Benzoyl peroxide works by releasing oxygen into the skin, which kills the bacteria (Cutibacterium acnes) that contribute to acne. It also helps to unblock pores and reduce inflammation, making skin look clearer over time with regular use.

Directions for Use
For adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over, wet the affected area and apply a small amount of gel, lathering gently for 1–2 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Use once or twice daily, or as directed. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and broken skin. If irritation occurs, reduce use to once a day or every other day. Who Should Not Take This Medicine

Interactions
Acnecide 5% Wash Gel may increase skin irritation if used alongside other acne treatments such as retinoids, salicylic acid, or abrasive skin products. Using it at the same time as tretinoin or adapalene cream may cause excessive dryness or peeling. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
The safety of benzoyl peroxide during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been fully established. As this is a topical product, systemic absorption is minimal, but caution is advised. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

Alcohol
