What is Wegovy pill?

• Active ingredient: semaglutide (oral tablet form)
• How it is taken: once daily
• Who it is for: adults with obesity, or some adults with excess weight who also have weight-related medical problems, alongside lifestyle changes
• Age: not approved for people under 18

How it is taken

• Take one tablet with a small sip of water on an empty stomach
• Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking anything else, or taking other oral medicines
• Do not crush, cut, chew, or dissolve the tablet
• Your prescriber may increase the dose gradually over time

Dosing schedule

• • Your health care professional will start you on the 1.5 mg once-daily dose and gradually increase the dose every 30 days until you reach the 25 mg maximum dose.
