Description
Piriteze Allergy Tablets – 14 Tablets
Piriteze Allergy Tablets contain cetirizine hydrochloride, a non-drowsy antihistamine used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever, allergic rhinitis, and other allergies such as pet dander and dust mites. They are suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and over, offering effective relief with just one tablet a day.
⸻
How It Works
Cetirizine works by blocking histamine receptors in the body. Histamine is a natural chemical released during an allergic reaction that causes symptoms such as sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and a runny nose. By blocking histamine, cetirizine helps to reduce and relieve these uncomfortable symptoms quickly and effectively.
⸻
Directions for Use
Adults and children aged 12 years and over should take one 10 mg tablet once a day, swallowed whole with water. Children aged 6 to 11 years should take half a tablet (5 mg) twice a day, or one tablet (10 mg) once a day — refer to the patient information leaflet for specific guidance. Do not exceed the stated dose. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.
⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Cetirizine is not recommended during pregnancy as its safety has not been fully established. It is also not recommended whilst breastfeeding, as cetirizine may pass into breast milk. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
⸻
Alcohol
Although cetirizine is classed as a non-drowsy antihistamine, drinking alcohol whilst taking Piriteze Allergy Tablets may increase the risk of drowsiness. It is advisable to avoid or limit alcohol consumption whilst taking this medicine.
