    Description

Naprosyn Pain Relief Gastro-Resistant Tablets 250mg 9 Tablets

Naprosyn Pain Relief contains naproxen 250mg, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve the pain associated with period pain (dysmenorrhoea). It is available as gastro-resistant tablets, which are designed to be gentler on the stomach.

    How It Works

Naproxen works by blocking the production of natural chemicals in your body called prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are released during your period and cause the pain and cramping you feel. By reducing the levels of these chemicals, naproxen helps to relieve pain and discomfort.

    Directions for Use

Naprosyn Pain Relief Gastro-Resistant Tablets are for use in women aged 15 years and over. The recommended starting dose is two tablets (500mg) taken together, followed by one tablet (250mg) every 6 to 8 hours as needed. Do not take more than three tablets (750mg) in any 24-hour period. Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water — do not crush or chew them. It is best to start taking them when your period pain begins. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Naproxen should not be taken during the last three months of pregnancy as it may harm the unborn baby. It should also be used with caution during the first six months of pregnancy and is generally not recommended during breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

Drinking alcohol while taking naproxen may increase your risk of stomach irritation and bleeding. It is advisable to avoid or limit alcohol consumption whilst taking this medicine.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Naproxen may occasionally cause dizziness, drowsiness, or visual disturbances in some people. If you experience any of these effects, do not drive or operate machinery until you feel well enough to do so safely.
