    Description

    Migraleve Pink – 12 Tablets

Migraleve Pink tablets are a combination medicine specifically designed to treat migraines. They help relieve migraine pain, reduce nausea and vomiting, and are suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over.

    How It Works

Migraleve Pink contains three active ingredients that work together to tackle the main symptoms of a migraine. Paracetamol and codeine phosphate combine to relieve pain, while buclizine hydrochloride is an antihistamine that helps to reduce the feeling of sickness and vomiting that often accompanies a migraine attack.

    Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 and over: take 2 Migraleve Pink tablets at the first sign of a migraine attack. If needed, this may be followed by 2 yellow Migraleve tablets (if using the combined pack) every 4 hours. Do not take more than 2 pink tablets in any 24-hour period, and do not take Migraleve Pink for more than 3 days continuously. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

    • Children under 12 years of age
    • People who are allergic to paracetamol, codeine phosphate, buclizine hydrochloride, or any other ingredient in this product
    • People who know they are “ultra-rapid metabolisers” of codeine (a genetic trait)
    • Women who are breastfeeding
    • People with severe liver or kidney problems
    • Anyone with breathing difficulties or respiratory depression
    • People with a history of opioid addiction or dependency
    • Those taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of stopping them

    Interactions

Migraleve Pink may interact with other medicines, including other paracetamol-containing products (risk of overdose), other opioid painkillers, medicines for anxiety or sleep (increased sedation), antidepressants, anticoagulants such as warfarin, and medicines that affect the liver. Avoid taking other medicines containing paracetamol at the same time. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Migraleve Pink is not recommended during pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester, due to the codeine content, which can affect the baby’s breathing. Codeine passes into breast milk and must not be taken by breastfeeding mothers, as it can cause serious harm to the baby. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

You should avoid drinking alcohol whilst taking Migraleve Pink. Alcohol can increase the sedative effects of codeine and buclizine, making drowsiness and dizziness worse. Alcohol can also increase the risk of liver damage when taken alongside paracetamol, especially in higher quantities.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Migraleve Pink can cause drowsiness, dizziness, and blurred vision due to both the codeine and buclizine ingredients. You should not drive, operate heavy machinery, or carry out tasks requiring full alertness until you know how this medicine affects you. The effects may be made worse if you also drink alcohol.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
