Loratadine 10mg Hayfever & Allergy Relief – 180 Tablets
Loratadine 10mg Tablets are a non-drowsy antihistamine used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever and other allergic conditions, including sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, runny nose, and skin reactions such as hives and itching. Each pack contains 180 tablets, making it ideal for long-term seasonal allergy management.
⸻
How It Works
Loratadine works by blocking histamine H1 receptors in the body. Histamine is a natural chemical released during an allergic reaction that causes symptoms such as itching, sneezing, and a runny nose. By blocking histamine, loratadine helps to reduce and relieve these symptoms, typically within one hour of taking the tablet, with effects lasting up to 24 hours.
⸻
Directions for Use
Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take one 10mg tablet once daily. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not take more than one tablet in 24 hours. This medicine is not recommended for children under 12 years of age in tablet form. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
The safety of loratadine during pregnancy has not been fully established, and it is generally advised to avoid use during the first trimester unless recommended by a doctor. Loratadine passes into breast milk in small amounts, so caution is advised if breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

Alcohol
Loratadine is considered a non-drowsy antihistamine; however, drinking alcohol while taking loratadine may increase the risk of drowsiness. It is advisable to avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking this medicine.
⸻
Driving and Operating Machinery
Loratadine is classified as a non-drowsy antihistamine and is less likely to cause sedation than older antihistamines. However, a small number of people may still experience drowsiness. If you feel affected, do not drive or operate heavy machinery while taking this medicine.
