Fybogel Hi-Fibre Orange is a bulk-forming laxative used to relieve constipation and help maintain regular bowel movements. It is also used to support conditions where a high-fibre diet is recommended, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

How It Works
Fybogel contains ispaghula husk, a natural plant fibre that absorbs water in the gut, swelling to form a soft, bulky mass. This gently stimulates the bowel to move, making stools easier to pass without harsh stimulant effects. It works naturally with your body and typically produces results within 12 to 72 hours.

Directions for Use
Adults and children aged 12 years and over: dissolve the contents of one sachet in a full glass (150–200 ml) of cold water, stirring briskly, and drink immediately. Take one sachet twice daily, preferably after meals. Children under 12 years: only use on the advice of a doctor. It is important to drink plenty of fluids throughout the day whilst taking this product. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

Possible Side Effects
• Bloating or wind, particularly during the first few days of use
• Abdominal discomfort or cramping
• Allergic reactions (rare) — including skin rash, itching, or difficulty breathing
• Intestinal obstruction if taken without adequate fluid

Who Should Not Use This Product
• People who are allergic to ispaghula husk or any other ingredient in this product
• People with a sudden change in bowel habit lasting more than two weeks without speaking to a doctor first
• People with difficulty swallowing or a narrowing of the oesophagus or gut
• People with bowel obstruction or faecal impaction
• People with phenylketonuria (this product contains a source of phenylalanine)
• Children under 12 years, unless advised by a doctor

Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Once a sachet is opened, use immediately and do not store any unused portion. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
