When dietary intake is insufficient — whether due to illness, surgery, or a restricted diet — these nutrients help to restore and maintain healthy levels in the body, supporting energy production, immune function, bone health, and many other vital processes.

Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 5 years and over: take one capsule once daily, swallowed whole with water, preferably after a meal. Forceval capsules are not recommended for children under 5 years of age. Possible Side Effects

• Nausea or stomach upset, particularly if taken on an empty stomach
• Constipation or changes in bowel habits (related to the iron content)
• Darkening of stools (a harmless effect of the iron content)
• Allergic reactions such as skin rash or itching (uncommon)

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

• Children under 5 years of age
• People with hypervitaminosis A or D (too much vitamin A or D in the body)
• People with hypercalcaemia (high levels of calcium in the blood)
• People with haemochromatosis or other iron overload conditions
• People with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
• People with renal (kidney) failure, unless under medical supervision

Interactions

Forceval may interact with several medicines. Iron and calcium in the capsule can reduce the absorption of certain antibiotics (such as tetracyclines and quinolones) and bisphosphonates — leave at least 2 hours between taking these medicines and Forceval. Vitamin K (present in trace amounts in the formula) may interact with anticoagulants such as warfarin. High doses of vitamin C can affect the results of certain laboratory tests. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Forceval contains 2500 IU of vitamin A, which is within generally accepted safe limits; however, pregnant women or those trying to conceive should be aware that excessive vitamin A intake can be harmful to an unborn baby and should avoid taking additional vitamin A supplements alongside Forceval. The folic acid content (400 micrograms) is beneficial in early pregnancy for reducing the risk of neural tube defects. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

Alcohol

There is no direct interaction between Forceval and alcohol. However, excessive alcohol consumption can deplete several of the vitamins and minerals found in Forceval — particularly B vitamins and zinc — which may reduce the overall benefit of the supplement. Drinking responsibly will help you get the most from this product.

Driving and Operating Machinery

Forceval is not known to cause drowsiness or affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. You can take this supplement and continue with normal daily activities as usual.

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the container tightly closed. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
