Drapolene Cream is a soothing antiseptic barrier cream used to treat and prevent nappy rash in babies, and to help protect and relieve sore, chapped, or irritated skin. It forms a protective layer on the skin to keep moisture out and help skin heal.

How It Works

Drapolene Cream contains two active ingredients — benzalkonium chloride and cetrimide — which are mild antiseptics that help prevent infection in the affected area. The cream also forms a water-resistant barrier on the skin, protecting it from wetness (such as urine and faeces in nappy rash), which allows the skin to recover and stay healthy.

Directions for Use

For nappy rash in babies, apply a thin layer of Drapolene Cream to the clean, dry affected area at every nappy change. Gently smooth the cream over the skin — there is no need to rub it in. For adults using the cream on sore or chapped skin, apply as needed to the affected area. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

Possible Side Effects

• Skin irritation or redness at the site of application
• Allergic skin reactions such as rash or itching
• Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions to any of the ingredients

Who Should Not Use This Product

• People who are allergic (hypersensitive) to benzalkonium chloride, cetrimide, or any other ingredient in the cream
• Do not use on broken, infected, or severely inflamed skin without first speaking to a doctor
• Do not use in the eyes or on mucous membranes
• If the nappy rash or skin irritation does not improve within a few days, consult your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist

Storage

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
