Description
Dioralyte Sachets Citrus – 20 Pack
Dioralyte Sachets Citrus are an oral rehydration therapy used to replace fluids and essential salts (electrolytes) lost during diarrhoea and vomiting. They help prevent and treat dehydration in adults and children alike.
⸻
How It Works
When you have diarrhoea or vomiting, your body loses water and important salts such as sodium and potassium, which are vital for normal body function. Dioralyte sachets contain a carefully balanced mixture of glucose and electrolytes that works with your body’s natural absorption process in the gut, helping water and salts pass into the bloodstream quickly and efficiently to restore hydration.
⸻
Directions for Use
Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 200 ml of fresh drinking water (not fruit juice or milk) and drink immediately. For adults and children over 1 year, take one sachet after each loose bowel movement. Infants under 1 year should only use this product under medical supervision. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
⸻

Interactions
Dioralyte is not commonly known to interact with most medicines. However, the potassium content may be relevant if you take medicines that affect potassium levels, such as certain diuretics or ACE inhibitors. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.
⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Oral rehydration therapy is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as it simply replaces fluids and salts that have been lost. Maintaining hydration is important for both mother and baby. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
⸻
Alcohol
There is no known direct interaction between Dioralyte and alcohol. However, alcohol can worsen dehydration and may aggravate symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting, so it is advisable to avoid alcohol while unwell and using this product.
⸻
Driving and Operating Machinery
Dioralyte does not contain any ingredients known to cause drowsiness or impair concentration. It is therefore unlikely to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, if you feel unwell due to your underlying illness, take care before driving or using machinery.
⸻
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Once dissolved in water, the solution should be used immediately and any unused portion discarded. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
