    Description

    Chlorphenamine Solution 2mg/5ml – 150ml

Chlorphenamine Solution 2mg/5ml is an antihistamine oral solution used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever, allergies, and allergic skin conditions such as hives and eczema. It is suitable for adults and children aged 1 year and over.

    How It Works

Chlorphenamine maleate is a first-generation antihistamine that works by blocking histamine H1 receptors in the body. When you come into contact with an allergen — such as pollen, pet dander, or dust mites — your body releases histamine, which causes symptoms like sneezing, itching, and a runny nose. By blocking histamine’s effects, chlorphenamine helps to relieve these uncomfortable symptoms quickly.

    Directions for Use

Use the measuring device provided to take the correct dose. Recommended doses are as follows:

Adults and children aged 12 and over: 10ml (4mg) up to 4 times a day. Maximum 40mg in 24 hours.
    Children aged 6–11 years: 5ml (2mg) up to 4 times a day. Maximum 20mg in 24 hours.
    Children aged 2–5 years: 2.5ml (1mg) up to 4 times a day. Maximum 10mg in 24 hours.
Children aged 1–2 years: 2.5ml (1mg) twice daily. Use only under medical supervision.

Space doses evenly throughout the day and do not exceed the recommended dose. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
