Description
Benadryl Allergy Relief – 24 Capsules
Benadryl Allergy Relief Capsules contain acrivastine, an antihistamine used to relieve the symptoms of allergies and hay fever. They are suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over to help manage sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, and a runny or blocked nose.
⸻
How It Works
Acrivastine works by blocking histamine receptors in the body. Histamine is a natural chemical released during an allergic reaction that causes symptoms such as sneezing, itching, and a runny nose. By blocking histamine, acrivastine helps to quickly reduce these symptoms. It is considered a non-drowsy antihistamine, although it may still cause drowsiness in some people.
⸻
Directions for Use
Adults and children aged 12 and over: take one 8 mg capsule up to three times a day. Capsules should be swallowed whole with water. Do not take more than three capsules in 24 hours. This medicine is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

Interactions
Acrivastine may interact with other medicines that cause drowsiness, such as sleeping tablets, sedatives, and some antidepressants, increasing the risk of side effects. It may also interact with some medicines used to treat anxiety, pain, or fungal infections. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.
