Anusol Plus HC Ointment is a haemorrhoid treatment containing five active ingredients which work together to reduce inflammation and soothe symptoms. Common symptoms of haemorrhoids include: bleeding after passing a stool, an itchy bottom, mucus discharge and soreness, redness, or swelling around the anus. These can be caused by straining on the toilet, being overweight, age, being pregnant, frequent lifting of heavy objects, a persistent cough, or repeated vomiting. To prevent haemorrhoids, people should increase their fibre intake, drink plenty of fluids, pass stools as soon as they feel the urge, and lose weight. Anusol contains hydrocortisone acetate, zinc oxide and bismuth salts, balsam peru, and benzyl benzoate, which all help to soothe, protect and heal the area. It can be applied to the area sparingly at night, in the morning, and after each bowel movement. This product is not suitable for children under 18
