Lisinopril is the name of the active ingredient. In the UK it is sold as generic lisinopril and under brand names including Zestril, Carace and Lisopress — all contain the same active ingredient and work the same way. Common strengths:

How to take lisinopril
Usually taken once a day. The first dose can make you feel dizzy, so many people take it at bedtime to start. Keep taking it even if you feel well. Always follow your prescriber’s instructions (BNF).
Side effects
