What is gabapentin?
Gabapentin is used for nerve (neuropathic) pain and epilepsy. It is a controlled medicine, so it must be taken exactly as prescribed.
Brands and strengths
Gabapentin is the name of the active ingredient. In the UK it is sold as generic gabapentin and under the brand name Neurontin — both contain the same active ingredient and work the same way. Common strengths:

How to take gabapentin
