What is ezetimibe?
Ezetimibe lowers cholesterol by reducing how much your gut absorbs from food. It is often used alongside a statin, or on its own if statins are not suitable.
Brands and strengths
Ezetimibe is the name of the active ingredient. In the UK it is sold as generic ezetimibe and under the brand name Ezetrol — both contain the same active ingredient and work the same way. Common strengths:

How to take ezetimibe

Side effects
