How It Works
Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the production of chemicals in the body called prostaglandins, which are responsible for causing pain, swelling, and fever. By reducing prostaglandin levels, ibuprofen helps to relieve pain and bring down a high temperature.
⸻
Directions for Use
Adults and young people aged 12 years and over: take 1 or 2 tablets (200mg–400mg) up to three times a day as needed. Leave at least 4 hours between doses and do not take more than 3 doses (6 tablets) in any 24-hour period. Swallow tablets whole with a glass of water, preferably with food or after eating to help protect the stomach. Do not use for more than 3 days for fever or more than 10 days for pain without speaking to a doctor. This medicine is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
