    Description

    Nurofen Express 200mg Liquid Capsules – 30S

Nurofen Express 200mg Liquid Capsules contain ibuprofen in a liquid-filled capsule form, designed to be absorbed faster than standard ibuprofen tablets. They provide effective relief from a range of painful conditions including headaches, migraines, period pain, back pain, muscle pain, and the pain and inflammation of arthritis.

    How It Works

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins — natural chemicals in the body that cause pain, swelling, and inflammation. The liquid-filled capsule formulation allows ibuprofen to be absorbed into the bloodstream more quickly than standard solid tablets, helping to bring faster relief.

    Directions for Use

Adults and young people aged 12 years and over: take 2 capsules (400mg ibuprofen) with water, up to 3 times a day as needed. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not take more than 6 capsules (1200mg) in any 24-hour period. Swallow the capsules whole with a full glass of water — do not chew. Taking them with food or milk may help reduce the chance of stomach upset. This medicine is not suitable for children under 12 years. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Interactions

Ibuprofen may interact with several medicines, including blood thinners (such as warfarin), aspirin, other NSAIDs, certain antidepressants (SSRIs), lithium, methotrexate, diuretics (“water tablets”), and medicines for high blood pressure. Taking more than one NSAID at the same time increases the risk of side effects and should be avoided. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Ibuprofen should not be taken during the third trimester of pregnancy as it may harm the unborn baby. Use during the first and second trimesters is generally not recommended unless advised by a doctor. Ibuprofen passes into breast milk in small amounts; it is generally considered safe during breastfeeding at recommended doses, but you should seek advice first. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

Drinking alcohol whilst taking ibuprofen may increase the risk of stomach irritation and gastrointestinal bleeding. It is advisable to avoid or limit alcohol consumption whilst using this medicine.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

Nurofen Express 200mg Liquid Capsules are not generally expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, if you experience dizziness or any other side effects that may impair your reactions, do not drive or use machinery until you feel well again.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the capsules in their original packaging. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
