Description
Dispersible Aspirin 75mg – 100 Tablets
Dispersible Aspirin 75mg tablets contain a low dose of aspirin, used to help prevent blood clots in people who have had a heart attack, stroke, angina, or who have undergone heart bypass surgery. This medicine is available as a dispersible (dissolvable) tablet, making it easy to take with water.
⸻
How It Works
Aspirin belongs to a group of medicines called antiplatelet agents. It works by reducing the ability of platelets (tiny blood cells) to clump together and form clots, helping to keep blood flowing freely through the arteries and reducing the risk of a further heart attack or stroke.
⸻
Directions for Use
The usual dose for adults is one 75mg tablet taken once a day, unless your doctor has advised differently. Disperse the tablet in a glass of water before swallowing — do not swallow it whole. This medicine is not suitable for children under 16 years unless specifically directed by a doctor. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
⸻

⸻
Possible Side Effects
• Stomach irritation, indigestion, or nausea
• Stomach ulcers or bleeding (especially with long-term use)
• Increased risk of bruising or bleeding
• Skin rash or itching

If you experience any serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice immediately.
⸻
Who Should Not Take This Medicine
• People who are allergic to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g. ibuprofen)

• People with severe liver or kidney disease
• People with uncontrolled high blood pressure

⸻
Interactions
Aspirin can interact with several medicines, including anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin), other NSAIDs (e.g. ibuprofen), certain antidepressants (e.g. SSRIs), methotrexate, and medicines for diabetes or high blood pressure. Taking aspirin with other blood-thinning medicines significantly increases the risk of bleeding. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.
⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Low-dose aspirin may be used during pregnancy under medical supervision, particularly in women at risk of pre-eclampsia, but it should generally be avoided in the third trimester without medical guidance. Aspirin is not recommended during breastfeeding as it passes into breast milk. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
⸻
Alcohol
Drinking alcohol whilst taking aspirin increases the risk of stomach irritation and gastrointestinal bleeding. It is advisable to keep alcohol consumption to a minimum whilst taking this medicine.
⸻
Driving and Operating Machinery
Dispersible Aspirin 75mg is not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, if you experience any unusual symptoms such as dizziness, do not drive or operate heavy machinery and speak to your doctor.
⸻
