Description
Avarante 10mg Tadalafil Tablets – 4 Pack
Avarante 10mg Tadalafil Tablets contain tadalafil, a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men — a condition where a man is unable to get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual activity. This pack contains 4 tablets, designed to be taken as needed before sexual activity.
⸻
How It Works
Tadalafil belongs to a group of medicines called PDE5 inhibitors. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing more blood to flow in when you are sexually aroused. This helps you to achieve and maintain an erection. Tadalafil only works when there is sexual stimulation — it does not cause an erection on its own.
⸻
Directions for Use
The recommended dose for adults is one 10mg tablet taken at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. You should not take more than one tablet within any 24-hour period. Avarante 10mg tablets can be taken with or without food. If the 10mg dose does not produce the desired effect, your doctor may advise you to try a 20mg tablet instead. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
⸻
Active Ingredients
• Tadalafil 10mg per tablet
⸻
Possible Side Effects
Common side effects include:
• Headache
• Indigestion or stomach discomfort
• Back pain or muscle aches
• Flushing (redness or warmth in the face, neck, or chest)
• Nasal congestion (blocked or runny nose)
• Dizziness
• Visual disturbances (such as blurred vision or changes in colour vision)
If you experience any serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice immediately.
⸻
Who Should Not Take This Medicine
Do not take Avarante 10mg Tadalafil Tablets if:
• You are allergic to tadalafil or any of the other ingredients
• You are taking nitrates (medicines used for chest pain, such as glyceryl trinitrate) in any form — combining these can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure
• You are taking riociguat or other guanylate cyclase stimulators (used for pulmonary hypertension)
• You have severe heart disease or have recently had a heart attack or stroke
• You have severe liver or kidney disease
• You have ever had loss of vision due to non-arteritic anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy (NAION)
• You are under 18 years of age
⸻
Interactions
Tadalafil can interact with several medicines, including nitrates (used for angina or chest pain), alpha-blockers (used for high blood pressure or prostate problems), antifungals such as ketoconazole, HIV protease inhibitors, and other medicines for erectile dysfunction. Taking tadalafil with these medicines can increase the risk of side effects, including low blood pressure. Grapefruit juice may also increase the levels of tadalafil in your blood and should be avoided. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.
⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Avarante 10mg Tadalafil Tablets are intended for use in adult men only and are not indicated for use in women. Tadalafil is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
⸻
Alcohol
Drinking alcohol whilst taking tadalafil can increase the risk of side effects such as dizziness, low blood pressure, headache, and a faster heartbeat. It is advisable to avoid drinking large amounts of alcohol (more than 5 units) when taking this medicine. Drinking moderately is unlikely to cause problems for most men, but it may also make it harder to achieve an erection.
⸻
Driving and Operating Machinery
Tadalafil can occasionally cause dizziness or visual disturbances in some people. If you are affected in this way, you should not drive or operate heavy machinery. Most men are not affected, but you should be aware of how this medicine affects you before driving.
⸻
Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the tablets in their original blister packaging until ready to use. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
