Motusol Max 2.32% Gel is a topical pain-relieving gel containing diclofenac sodium, used to relieve pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with soft tissue injuries such as sprains, strains, and bruises in adults and adolescents aged 14 and over.

How It Works

Diclofenac sodium belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the production of natural chemicals in the body called prostaglandins, which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation. When applied to the skin, the gel penetrates the tissue to provide targeted relief at the site of injury.

Directions for Use

Adults and adolescents aged 14 and over: Apply a small amount of gel (2–4 g, approximately the size of a large cherry) gently to the affected area up to 3 times daily. Massage the gel into the skin until it is fully absorbed. Wash hands after use and avoid applying to broken, damaged, or infected skin. Do not use for more than 7 days without seeking medical advice. Not recommended for children under 14 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

Possible Side Effects

• Skin redness or irritation at the application site
• Itching or rash at the site of application
• Dry or flaking skin
• Burning or stinging sensation on the skin
• Rarely, allergic skin reactions such as swelling or blistering

Who Should Not Use This Product

• People who are allergic to diclofenac sodium, aspirin, or other NSAIDs
• People who have experienced asthma, hives, or allergic reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs
• People with known skin allergies to any of the gel’s other ingredients
• Children under 14 years of age
• Women who are pregnant, particularly in the last three months of pregnancy
• Do not apply to broken, infected, or inflamed skin, eyes, or mucous membranes

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not freeze. Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
