Bazuka Extra Strength 26% Gel is a topical treatment used to remove common warts, plantar warts (verrucas), and corns and calluses. It contains a high-strength salicylic acid formulation that works directly on the affected area of skin.

How It Works

Bazuka Extra Strength Gel contains 26% salicylic acid, which works by softening and breaking down the hardened, thickened skin that makes up warts, verrucas, corns, and calluses. This allows the dead skin to be gradually removed, helping the affected area to heal. The gel forms a water-resistant occlusive film on the skin, which keeps the active ingredient in contact with the treatment area.

Directions for Use

For adults and children aged 2 years and over. Soak the affected area in warm water for 2–3 minutes, then dry thoroughly. Apply a thin layer of gel directly to the wart, verruca, corn, or callus once daily, ideally at bedtime. Allow the gel to dry and form a film. After several days, gently rub away any loose, dead skin with an emery board or pumice stone before reapplying. Treatment may be needed for up to 3 months. Do not apply to broken, inflamed, or irritated skin, and avoid contact with healthy surrounding skin. Bazuka Extra Strength is not recommended for use on facial warts, warts with hairs growing from them, or genital warts. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Possible Side Effects

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

• People who are allergic to salicylic acid or any other ingredient in this product
• Children under 2 years of age
• People with diabetes or poor circulation — seek medical advice before use
• Do not apply to broken, infected, or inflamed skin
• Do not use on facial warts, warts with hairs growing from them, or genital warts
• Do not use on moles, birthmarks, or unusual skin growths

Interactions

No significant interactions with other medicines have been established for topically applied salicylic acid at this concentration. However, avoid using other topical skin treatments on the same area at the same time unless directed by a healthcare professional. Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

There is limited evidence on the safety of topical salicylic acid during pregnancy or breastfeeding. As a precaution, avoid using this product on large areas of skin during pregnancy. Alcohol

Bazuka Extra Strength Gel is applied topically to the skin and is not taken by mouth. There is no known interaction between this product and alcohol consumption. However, alcohol-based products applied to the same area of skin may increase irritation.

Bazuka Extra Strength Gel is a topical treatment applied to the skin and is not expected to affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. It does not cause drowsiness or any other effects that would impair your reactions.

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
