Description
Numark Night Time Sleep Aid 25mg – 20 Tablets
Numark Night Time Sleep Aid contains diphenhydramine hydrochloride 25mg and is used as a short-term aid for occasional sleeplessness in adults and children aged 16 and over. It helps you fall asleep more easily if you are temporarily having difficulty sleeping.
⸻
How It Works
Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine that also has a sedative (sleep-inducing) effect. It works by blocking certain chemical signals in the brain that help keep you awake, making you feel drowsy and helping you to fall asleep more easily.
⸻
Directions for Use
Adults and young people aged 16 and over: take 2 tablets (50mg) with a glass of water approximately 20 minutes before bedtime. Do not take more than 2 tablets in any 24-hour period. This medicine should not be used for more than 2 weeks without speaking to a doctor. It is not suitable for children under 16 years of age. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

⸻
Interactions
Diphenhydramine may interact with other medicines that cause drowsiness, including sedatives, sleeping pills, anxiety medicines, antidepressants, and certain painkillers. It can also interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and medicines used to treat anxiety or psychosis. Anticholinergic medicines (such as those used for bladder problems or Parkinson’s disease) may increase the risk of side effects when taken alongside this product. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.
⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding, as diphenhydramine may pass into breast milk and could affect your baby. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
⸻
Alcohol
You should not drink alcohol whilst taking this medicine. Alcohol increases the sedative effect of diphenhydramine, which can make you feel much more drowsy and increase the risk of accidents or other side effects.
⸻
Driving and Operating Machinery
This medicine causes drowsiness and may still affect you the following morning. Do not drive, operate heavy machinery, or carry out tasks that require alertness until you know how this medicine affects you. You should ensure you have had a full night’s sleep (at least 7–8 hours) before driving or operating machinery after taking this product.
⸻
