Description
Sinutab Non-Drowsy – 15 Tablets
Sinutab Non-Drowsy tablets are used to relieve the symptoms of colds, flu, and sinusitis, including nasal and sinus congestion, headache, and general aches and pains. They are formulated to help you feel more comfortable without causing drowsiness.
⸻
How It Works
Sinutab Non-Drowsy contains two active ingredients that work together. Paracetamol is a well-known painkiller and fever reducer that helps ease headaches, facial pain, and high temperature. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that works by narrowing the blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion so you can breathe more easily.
⸻
Directions for Use
Adults and children aged 12 years and over should take 2 tablets up to three times a day. Doses should be spaced at least four hours apart. Do not take more than 6 tablets in any 24-hour period. These tablets are not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Swallow the tablets whole with water. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.
⸻

• Skin rash or itching (rare allergic reactions)
If you experience any serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice immediately.
⸻
Who Should Not Take This Medicine
• Children under 12 years of age
• People taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or who have stopped taking them within the last 14 days
• People with high blood pressure (hypertension)
• People with heart disease or overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism)
• People with difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate
• People with diabetes
• Anyone who is allergic to paracetamol, pseudoephedrine, or any other ingredient in this product
• People who are already taking other paracetamol-containing medicines
⸻
Interactions
Sinutab Non-Drowsy may interact with several other medicines. Taking it alongside other products containing paracetamol can lead to an accidental overdose. Pseudoephedrine can interact with antidepressants (particularly MAOIs and tricyclics), blood pressure medicines, beta-blockers, and other decongestants or stimulant medicines. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.
⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Pseudoephedrine is not recommended during pregnancy as it may affect blood flow and has been associated with a small risk of certain birth defects, particularly in the first trimester. Pseudoephedrine can also pass into breast milk and may reduce milk supply, so it is not recommended during breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
⸻
Alcohol
You should avoid drinking alcohol while taking Sinutab Non-Drowsy, particularly because alcohol combined with paracetamol can increase the risk of liver damage. Alcohol may also intensify any side effects such as dizziness or nausea. If you regularly drink alcohol, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist before taking this medicine.
⸻
Driving and Operating Machinery
Although Sinutab Non-Drowsy is formulated to be non-drowsy, pseudoephedrine can occasionally cause dizziness, restlessness, or difficulty concentrating in some individuals. If you notice any of these effects, do not drive or operate heavy machinery. Most people, however, are unaffected and can drive as normal.
⸻
Storage
Store Sinutab Non-Drowsy below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
