    Description

    WindSetlers – 24 Gel Capsules

WindSetlers gel capsules are used to relieve the uncomfortable symptoms of trapped wind, bloating, and flatulence caused by excess gas in the digestive system. They are suitable for use after meals or when symptoms arise, offering fast and effective relief.

    How It Works

WindSetlers contain the active ingredient simeticone, an anti-foaming agent that works by breaking down large gas bubbles in your gut into smaller ones. This makes the gas easier for your body to move through and expel naturally, reducing bloating, pressure, and discomfort.

    Directions for Use

Adults and children aged 12 years and over: take 1 to 2 gel capsules after meals and at bedtime, up to 3 times a day. Swallow the capsules whole with water. Do not exceed the recommended dose. WindSetlers are not recommended for children under 12 years of age unless directed by a doctor. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

    Active Ingredients

    • Simeticone 100 mg per gel capsule

    Possible Side Effects

Simeticone is generally very well tolerated and side effects are uncommon. However, some people may experience:
    • Mild stomach discomfort
    • Nausea
    • Diarrhoea
    • Allergic reactions (rash, itching, or swelling) — rare

If you experience any serious side effects, stop taking this medicine and seek medical advice immediately.

Who Should Not Take This Medicine

Do not take WindSetlers if you:
    • Are allergic to simeticone or any of the other ingredients in the capsules
    • Are under 12 years of age (unless advised by a doctor)
    • Have been told by your doctor to avoid this type of medicine

    Interactions

Simeticone is not known to interact significantly with other medicines. It is not absorbed into the bloodstream and works locally within the gut, which means the risk of drug interactions is very low. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Simeticone is not significantly absorbed into the bloodstream and is generally considered to have a low risk profile. However, as with all medicines, caution is advised during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.

    Alcohol

There is no known interaction between simeticone and alcohol. However, alcohol can itself contribute to bloating and digestive discomfort, so it is worth considering whether alcohol consumption may be worsening your symptoms.

    Driving and Operating Machinery

WindSetlers are not known to cause drowsiness or affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. This medicine is considered safe to use before driving or carrying out tasks that require full concentration.

    Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the capsules in their original packaging. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
