Description
Pollenase Hayfever Relief Eye Drops – 10ml
Pollenase Hayfever Relief Eye Drops contain sodium cromoglicate and are used to relieve the itchy, watery, red, and irritated eyes caused by hay fever and other airborne allergies. They are suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and over.
⸻
How It Works
The active ingredient, sodium cromoglicate, is a mast cell stabiliser. It works by preventing the cells in your eyes from releasing histamine and other chemicals that cause allergic symptoms such as itching, redness, and watering. It works best when used regularly throughout the allergy season, even when symptoms are not present.
⸻
Directions for Use
Adults and children aged 6 years and over: instil 1 or 2 drops into each eye four times daily. Wash your hands before use, tilt your head back gently, pull down the lower eyelid, and apply the drops into the pocket formed. Avoid touching the tip of the bottle to your eye or any other surface to prevent contamination. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before applying the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. If you are unsure about the correct dose, speak to your PillSorted pharmacist.

Interactions
Sodium cromoglicate eye drops are not known to interact significantly with other medicines when used as directed. However, if you are using any other eye drops or eye preparations, allow at least 5 minutes between applications to avoid diluting the effect of either product. Tell your PillSorted pharmacist or doctor about all medicines you are currently taking, including herbal remedies and supplements.
⸻
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
The use of sodium cromoglicate eye drops during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been fully established in clinical trials, though topical use means systemic absorption is minimal. Speak to your doctor or PillSorted pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
⸻
Alcohol
There is no known interaction between Pollenase Hayfever Relief Eye Drops and alcohol. These drops are applied topically to the eye, and systemic absorption is very low, so alcohol is not expected to affect how the medicine works.
⸻
Driving and Operating Machinery
Pollenase Hayfever Relief Eye Drops may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after application. You should wait until your vision is completely clear before driving or operating machinery. Do not drive or use machines if your vision remains affected.
⸻
Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, discard the bottle after 28 days, even if there is product remaining, as opened eye drops can become contaminated. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
